We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of FileCatalyst Direct v2.7.6. This is a recommended upgrade for all licensees. FileCatalyst Direct is available from the customer download portal; if you are unsure how to reach the portal for download, please contact your FileCatalyst representative.

Included in this release:

• new functionality in the applet JavaScript API:
• methods for getting transfer size, duration, and mode
• added calls for getting queue information
• methods to set server parameters
• improved methods in download applet to manipulate download path
• Latest Server Admin tool to communicate only with Server 2.7.6 and forward
• HotFolder email notification now contains more transaction information
• 3rd-party FTP clients now able to cancel/resume downloads
• Added Command-Line Interface interaction with mounted drives
• Updates to the Server API
• Improvements to existing functionality:
• TCP fallback when using the Command-Line tool
• Performance of Congestion Control
• File Deltas algorithm
• Windows 7 compatibility

Note the restriction on the Remote Server Administration tool; As of this release, it will not connect to older versions of FileCatalyst Server. It is considered best practice to upgrade the Server component before the Server Admin tool for any upgrade, but with this particular release it is even more important.
