How to Change Data Ports for the Internal FileCatalyst Server for FileCatalyst Web Products

Overview

This article describes how to change Data Ports of the Internal FileCatalyst Server, which is deployed with FileCatalyst Workflow and FileCatalyst Webmail as the backend FTP Server. These ports can be changed through the FileCatalyst Server Remote Administration Web Applet or a standalone installation of the FileCatalyst Server Remote Admin. For the purposes of this article, we will make the changes utilizing the Web Applet which can be launched only through Firefox or Internet Explorer.

 

Environment

FileCatalyst Workflow 4.8 and later.

FileCatalyst Webmail 4.9.5 and earlier.


Resolution

  1. Login as Super Admin to FileCatalyst Webmail/WorkFlow.

  2. Click on Modify Configuration tab, it is located on top menu bar.

  3. Under the Internal Servers section, click the link to Configure Internal FTP Server.

  4. Click on Launch Admin Applet.

  1. FileCatalyst Server Admin Applet for Internal_FTP_Server will launch into the GUI for Server Administration.

  2. Click on the Advanced tab on the left side.

  3. Change the Data Port Range fields to the desired values.

  4. Hit Apply to accept the changes.


Note: You must restart FileCatalyst Webmail/Workflow when you make any configuration changes to the Internal FTP Server. This can be achieved by accessing the Modify Configuration page and clicking the Restart System link under the System Restart section.
