Overview

When FileCatalyst Workflow has been installed using the Windows Executable Installer, it sets the default landing page to an install confirmation page rather than forwarding traffic to the initial log on page.

This article only applies to the Windows Operating Systems only and as of the publication date of this article, the Windows Executable Installer for FileCatalyst Webmail is no longer. The last available release for this installer is v4.9.5.

Environment

FileCatalyst Workflow v4.9 and later.

FileCatalyst Webmail v4.9.5 and earlier.

Windows Operating System Only.

Resolution

By default, the loading page for the application is the splash screen verifying that FileCatalyst Workflow or Webmail is installed correctly. By changing the automatic redirect in the browser to another landing page and reducing the entry for the timer to 0, the page will redirect immediately to the log on page of the application. Use the following instructions to deploy the full solution:

  1. Shut down the FileCatalyst Web Workflow or FileCatalyst Webmail service from the Service Manager Application.
  2. Open the index.html page in a text editor. The default location of the file is in ROOT folder located in, C:\FileCatalyst Web Workflow\apache-tomcat\webapps\ROOT\.
  3. Locate the tag <META http-equiv="refresh" content="5; URL=/workflow"> and change content to = 0.
  4. Save the file and close the editor.
  5. Restart the FileCatalyst Web Workflow or FileCatalyst Webmail service from the Service Manager Application for the changes to take effect.
